About Competitions

Hawkesbury & District Basketball Association (HDBA) holds two (2) domestic competitions per year for its members to participate in. Our domestic competitions are term-based as follows:

Winter Competition is held in terms 2 and 3
Summer Competition is held in terms 4 and 1

Please note: Our junior age groups have changed for our 2024-2025 Summer Competition to align with the Basketball NSW representative age groups (i.e. U16 Boys, U16 Girls, U18 Boys, U18 Girls, U21 Men, U21 Women).

Competitions run on the following days:

Monday Nights – U18 Boys (2 divisions), U21 Women, U21 Men
Tuesday Nights – Senior Women (2 divisions)
Wednesday Nights – Senior Men (4 divisions)
Friday Nights – Juniors (U10 Mixed, U12 Boys, U12 Girls)
Saturdays – Juniors (U14 Girls, U14 Boys (2 divisions), U16 Boys (2 divisions), U16 Girls, U18 Girls)

Please note: We do not play domestic competition on public holidays, long weekends, or school holidays.

2024-2025 Summer Competition

Our next competition commences on Monday 14th October 2024.

Team nominations are now open through BasketballConnect. Team nominations close on 25 September 2025 with limited team places, so get in early.

Please note: We do not play domestic competition on public holidays, long weekends, or school holidays. Christmas School Holidays – our last competition day is Saturday 14 December 2024. Games resume Monday 3 February 2024.
